Amber Gris is a natural secretion of the giant Cachalote, formed by the non-digestible materials and gastric juices. Once the whale ejects it into the sea, it must remain there for years, kissed by the sun, to be transformed into the substance capable of giving us that unique and complex olfactory result, reminiscent of seaweed, saline, of dusty dry woody scents, with fine sweet facets, vaguely earthy and incensed. For this reason today grey amber can also be used in its natural form, and not only synthetic like other raw materials of animal origin. The pieces that are found on the beaches, do not imply any approach or contact with the animal itself.
