Vanilla
A sweet discover
In nature
Vanilla planifolia is a plant belonging to the orchid family and is the only variety that produces an edible bean. It is from this pod that the mythical and legendary smell derives. To obtain it, the still immature, green, odorless pods are plucked, immersed in hot water and left to dry in the sun with a process that is repeated until fragrant and woody notes are reached. One of the techniques for extracting the fragrance involved the use of solvents or alcohol to obtain the absolute. The Vanilla plant is originally from Mexico, but the love of the King of France Louis XIV for it led him to try the cultivation in the Bourbon islands, in the Indian ocean, to have his own plantation. Here the seeding is not natural, as in Mexico, but carried out manually as in 1848. This species was named Bourbon Vanilla, is mainly grown in Madagascar, Comoros, Rèunion and has the highest concentration of Vanillin.

My Vanilla
Heartwarming and sweet but also sensual and bewitching, I created Vanilla to reflect my spirit and my multifaceted personality, just like everyone else’s. To outline the profile of women of all ages but also to offer a reassuring moment like the warm cuddle of a mother. We always need it! Vanilla is the memory of childhood, of my childhood, the memory of those nostalgic moments. I bet all I had on an intense but non-invasive vanilla accord, I wanted to make it the main character to celebrate this fabulous and unique raw material. I chose citrus top notes, which are volatile by nature, for a fresh opening and I added jasmine to give a boost to the sensual facet. The result is extremely delicious and warm, just like a sweet memory
